Israelite House of David - The North Depot
The north depot pictured above was the first scene of the House of David most visitors to Eden Springs saw. In the early years of the park many visitors came to Eden Springs for vacations instead of day trips. The typical visitor came to Benton Harbor from Chicago on a lake steamer. When they debarked in Benton Harbor they would catch the Britain Ave. streetcar near the docks which would take them to the north depot. From there they would board a miniature train and proceed into the park where they would rent a room in the park hotel or a cabin, typically for a week or longer.
