This Little Book treats upon the first principles of the faith, as revealed in this Visitation by that Spirit of truth, spoken of to be sent in this the day of Visitation to guide in the way of all truth and show things to come. This Spirit of truth is for the life of the body, soul and spirit; and a full and complete redemption and restoration of Israel, who have been scattered among both Jew and Gentile, but who must now be gathered according to the Scripture, which says, The Lord hath set his hand the second time to recover the remnant of his people Israel, and as Jesus said, Unto the Son of man shall they be gathered. Matt. 25:31, 32. As in the days of Noah and of Lot, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of man. Luke 17, 26-28. And remember, there were two Ensigns spoken of: One unto which the Gentiles should seek (which was Jesus, a fountain filled with blood); but now another Ensign shall be lifted up, unto which the scattered tribes of Israel shall be gathered; and a fountain opened in the House of David. This is a cleansing fountain (Zech. 13:1) for the cleansing of the blood. Joel 3:21. In that day the House of David shall be as God. Zech. 12:8.

These mysteries of life and immortality were sealed since Cherubims were placed with flaming swords to keep the tree of life till Israel be gathered. To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life; and these words spoken by him are Spirit and life. The Word has been sealed till this the time of the end and day of Visitation, when seven angels should sound in order. And when the Seventh Angel begins to sound, the mystery shall be finished, (Rev. 10:7,) and Israel gathered and redeemed. This Little Book is now open in the hand of the Angel Messenger - take it and eat it up. Rev. 10:9.

These brief statements found in this little booklet are but an invitation to send for literature, and prove all things, and hold to that which speaks according to law and testimony. In this Message you will find the keys that open up into the temple of wisdom.

BENJAMIN, A SERVANT OF GOD, WHO BEARS THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST, BY THE WILL OF GOD, ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE OF LIFE WHICH IS IN JESUS CHRIST, TO THE CHILDREN OF THE SAINTS SCATTERED ABROAD, GREETING.

BELOVEDS: We have a message for you, and we exhort -you by the mercies of God to earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the Saints, which is the redemption of spirit, soul and body, which is the testimony of Jesus Christ. Therefore let us study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth. Jude wrote to the saints concerning the common salvation, and he also exhorted them to earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered unto them. Paul often spoke of both the common faith and the great faith. The common faith is simply the salvation of the soul, by and through faith, common to both Jew and Gentile; while the great faith is the redemption of the body without death, promised to Israel, who are now to receive it; and their mortal bodies will be kept alive, (Rom. 8:23,) and their mortal bodies will put on immortality. The common faith is a way so plain, the wayfaring man, though a fool, may not err therein; but great is the mystery of the redemption of the body - God manifest in the flesh, which was sealed till the time of the end. Daniel 12. Broad is the way that leadeth to destruction - i.e., to the destruction of the body in the grave; but narrow is the way that leadeth to life, (i.e., the life of the body,) and a few there be that find it. The 144,000 will find it. Notwithstanding, many that went the broad way, having their bodies destroyed, will receive the resurrection of the soul. Remember, John saw them - a great company that no man could number, which come up in the first resurrection, washed in the blood of the Lamb.

Notice! The Elect, who find the way of life without death, are a small number-not a company that no man could number, for they are numbered in Revelation, 7th and 14th chapters, 144,000, who are redeemed, spirit, soul and body from among men, and not from the grave like the great host. Remember there are different glories for man, as Paul speaks of the glories of the sun, moon and stars, etc. All receive their glory according to their faith and works, John says, Behold I come quickly, to give every man according as his works shall be. And Jesus said, When the Son of man shall come, he will render unto every man according to his works. Which will you have - the glory of the sun, immortality without death, and receive an hundred-fold, or will you choose death and get only the soul salvation, the glory of the moon, sixty-fold, a spiritual body like unto the angels? for he is coming to receive his bride; and those who are so found doing and keeping his sayings, will be his immortal Bride - a body of flesh and bone - changed and fashioned like unto his glorious body. The blood will be taken away, and Christ, the Spirit, will take its place; then their bodies will be like his after he arose - sons of the living God. Jesus said, If a man will keep my sayings, he shall never see death. And he said, Whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall never die. Believest thou this? Herein is the mystery: We shall not all sleep (die), but be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. But your bodies are to be prepared for this great change by the cleansing of the blood. Joel 3:21. He said, Ye will not come unto me that ye might have life - the more abundant life, the life of the body, which is more than the life of the soul. Jesus offered them the bread of life, and they said, Our fathers did eat manna in the wilderness. But Jesus said, Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead, but I am that living bread that cometh down from heaven. If a man eat this bread he shall live for ever - not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead; he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. This bread is for the life of the body; for those referred to in the wilderness got the soul salvation, for it plainly says, They all drank of that Spiritual Rock, (which Rock was Christ,) and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; therefore this bread was for the life of the body, as Jesus' teachings and all the Scriptures plainly show. Jesus said, This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. John 6:50. Paul referred to those who ate manna in the wilderness, and said, Was it not those who had sinned that their carcasses (bodies) fell in the wilderness? - showing that it is sin that kills the body; and he said, The sting of death is sin.

Bodies that go to dust come up no more. And Samuel says, It is as water spilt upon the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. And Paul rebuked them who believed in the resurrection of the body, and said, Thou fool. thou sowest not the body that shall be, but God giveth it another body - not the same body, but another body. It is sown (or laid down in the grave) a natural body, but raised a spiritual body - i.e., the soul. Therefore you see by these witnesses that all flesh that goes to the grave is lost, and the soul is raised a spiritual body. Not discerning the difference between the spirit and the soul, most people claim they are one and the same thing; but this is not according to the Word, for it is written, The Word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. See it is divided; and Eccl. 12:7 tells us the spirit returns to God who gave it - which is one part; and the bodies of all who go to the grave return to dust, and as we have proved, come up no more - which is two parts of man - then what is it that is raised if it is not the soul? for Daniel says, Many that sleep in the dust - not the dust, but that which sleeps in the dust - shall awake. And Jesus says, Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming in the which all that are in the graves (i.e., the souls) shall hear his voice and come forth- they that have done good unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation; as John the divine says, They live not again till a thousand years are expired, etc. What comes forth? Not the spirit, for it went to God, therefore it did not go to the grave; and it could not be the body, for it went to dust and comes up no more, as the proofs have just shown; therefore it remains plain to be seen that it is the soul that is raised and reunited with the spirit in the resurrection, being made like into the angels - not sons, for to which of his angels has he said, Thou art my son? Angels are not called sons. But the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God, who are to have a body of flesh and bone made immortal, like unto his glorious body - the Firstborn among the many brethren of the sons of God (144,000), the Elect; and for their sake the time is shortened, or no flesh would be saved; for, This mortal (flesh) must put on immortality. Jesus prayed that they be taken not out of the world, but kept from the evil; and Paul also prayed, May the God of peace sanctify you wholly, and that your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved (not destroyed in the grave, but preserved) blameless unto the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

THE LAW OF LIFE

The law of the Spirit of life shall set you free from the law of sin and death. Rom. 8:2. After two days he will revive the hope of Israel; and in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Hosea 6:2. The prophet here alludes to a dispensation - a day of two thousand years. After two days, or dispensations, Jesus came and revived the hope of Israel, which was the life of the body. Adam would not have lost his body had he not sinned - which was disobedience to the Word of God. God, however, has not forsaken his people, nor will he fail in his purposes. He has followed his people with the words of promise, and his covenants of life will not fail. Enoch in the first dispensation received the immortal life of his body, by obedience, and saw not death. Noah by obedience to God's Word escaped the deluge or destruction of the old world.

The law of life was given to Moses; and Paul said, The law was ordained unto life. The hope of Israel was life without death - though they did not attain unto it because of sin, which was the transgression of the law; therefore their bodies fell. But Elijah kept the law of life and did not die. The life of the body was the faith they held - i.e., the true seed from the beginning; but when the children of Israel were scattered among the Gentiles they lost the faith in part - saw the soul salvation still, but became blinded to the life of the body - therefore Paul said to the Gentiles, I would not have you ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits, that blindness in part happened unto Israel until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Rom. 11:25. He saw at the fulness of the Gentiles, Israel would be gathered again - i.e., their descendants, the seed that was to come, to whom the promise was made, (Gal.3:19,) viz., the promise of the life of the body. Remember, they had never lost the common faith. Their testimony was good, and some of them still held to the great faith of the life of the body.

Look at David. He said, Thou hast delivered my soul from death, wilt thou not deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living? They died in the faith, not having received the promise; therefore Paul says, There is something better for us - i.e., the life of the body is better than the common salvation of the soul. He brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, and he never taught death. His teaching was the life of the body all the way through. He came not to destroy men's lives, but to save them. He kept the law, as it was ordained unto life; and the spirit of the law of life was in Christ Jesus. But they refused it at his hands, and he made the atonement for the soul; and now he comes to raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. He was a light to lighten the Gentiles for their soul salvation, till their fulness, and now he comes to be the glory of his people Israel. God has set his hand the second time to recover the remnant of his people Israel! and his laws come in force; as it is written, The nail that is fastened in the sure place shall be removed; (Isa. 22-25;) - which nailed the law till the Gentiles came in for the soul by faith. Now Israel will keep it as Jesus kept it, for he never at any time transgressed his Father's commandments. The 144,000 sing the song of Moses and the Lamb (Law and Gospel) - not after a carnal commandment, like the Jews of old, but the righteousness of the law of life; for they are virgins, who are not defiled with women. Rev. 14:4. The kingdom of lust must pass away and give place to wisdom and power of God; and, He that doeth the will of God abideth for ever; (1 John 2:17;) for they will overcome the world, the devil and the flesh - crucify the old man with its affections and lusts. To him that overcometh shall I grant to sit down with me in my throne, as I also have overcome and am set down with my Father in his throne. To him that overcometh shall I grant to eat of the hidden manna which is hid in the midst of the Paradise of God, that ye may eat thereof and not die.

GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF DEATH

It is written, God made not death, but through envy of the devil death came into the world; and he that holdeth with him on that side shall surely find it. Satan is the author of death, but Jesus Christ came to abolish death, and to destroy him who had the power of death - that is, the devil. We hear people complaining against God - blaming him for the disasters, storms and loss of life; but this is a great mistake, for we read in the Holy Writ that Satan is prince and power of the air, and he is the author of all the destruction and death; for God willeth not the death of any man, but would that all come unto him and live. Sickness and death came into the world by Satan, and it is still so today. Jesus says, I come not to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And if you will notice, when Jesus was at sea with his disciples there arose a great storm, and it was about to capsize the ship, and the disciples cried out, Lord save us, we perish! and Jesus rebuked the winds, and there was a great calm. Now if the storm was of God, would Jesus rebuke his Father's works? Nay verily! But Satan is prince and power of air, and it was simply Satan and his works that Jesus was rebuking, for Satan wanted to take the life of Jesus and the disciples. God is the "affirmative" and great life-giver to all things; but Satan is the "negative" and destroying power.

It is his will to save flesh; and then, as it is written, They shall return to the days of their youth, and their flesh shall become fresher than that of a child's.

When we speak of the end, we do not believe, as many do, that this planet will be destroyed, but to the contrary; for it is written, One generation passeth away, and another cometh, but the earth abideth for ever. As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be. Then the world was destroyed - not the planet, but the wicked people called the world. As it was then, so shall it be now. There was the end of a world, or age, or dispensation; and then came in the Jewish world or dispensation, till they rejected Christ; then we had the end of another world, or age, or dispensation. Then came in the Gentile age, or dispensation, until the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled, and then should come the end - that is, the end of the third dispensation or Gentile age; as foretold by the prophets: I will overturn, and overturn, and overturn, till he comes whose right it is, and I will give it to him. Two of these overturns we have already had - the first at the flood, the overturn of the wicked kingdoms; and the second, the overturn of the Jews when they rejected Christ; and the third overturn which is at our doors, will be the overturn of the Gentiles, as it is written, The wicked kingdoms will I destroy. Then, as Daniel says, there will be a kingdom set up which will be an everlasting kingdom which shall not pass away. Now is the time that Jesus' sayings will have their full accomplishment - a time of trouble such as never was, nor ever shall be; war among all nations and people, till the wicked shall be entirely destroyed and the sons of God redeemed, spirit, soul and body; for, as Jesus said, The meek shall inherit the earth. Then the whole earth shall be refined. Then shall she produce seven-fold, and the whole earth shall bloom in bliss for a thousand years, and nothing shall hurt nor destroy in all my Holy Mountain, saith the Lord; for Christ shall reign on the earth with his brethren, the redeemed - the people of the saints of the Most High; the 144,000, spoken of in the seventh and fourteenth chapters of Revelation, who are to be redeemed from among men. Then shall the saying be brought to pass, The knowledge of the Lord shall cover the earth, as the waters cover the sea.

THE ORIGIN OF EVIL, OR THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY

We hope you will notice the tree of knowledge of good and evil was a tree not to be touched, according to the commands of God, for, Within the day ye eat thereof, ye shall surely die. In the first place, notice, mankind are called trees in the Scriptures - trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord; (Isa. 61:3; ) and, All the trees of the field clapped their hands for joy; (Isa. 55:12;) and in many other places we notice the same. Now notice, this tree was a tree of knowledge of good and evil - a tree having knowledge; and we know of no tree having knowledge but mankind. The woman is the tree. She gave it to the man, and he did eat. The word eat has blinded many - failing to see more ways than one of eating. Therefore they say it was an apple or a pear that Adam ate; and then in contradiction they read, It is not that which goeth into the mouth that defileth a man, but that which cometh out. Now John was given a Little Book, and was told to eat it up. We do not suppose he ate the Little Book; no! but took it in - partook of the words of life. And in many other places it speaks of eating in the same manner. Eat the Little Book I give thee. Jer. 15:16 and Rev. 10:10. Jesus said we must eat his flesh, etc. She handed it to Adam, and he partook of it, and she conceived in the evil (Leviticus 15) and brought forth Cain, the first fruits of the crime - a murderer. And did not God point to the crime when he said to the woman, For this cause, in thy conception thou shalt bring forth children in sorrow, and sorrow shall be multiplied? And has it not been so? It is what brought death into the world. Gen. 2:17. But we see the virgin Mary brought forth good fruit, being overshadowed by the power of the Highest in her purity, according to the Levitical law - proving woman to be the tree of knowledge of both good and evil. She is capable of bringing forth both good and evil fruit according to the Levitical law. Lev. 15:25. Therefore we see the difference between Cain and Abel, and the same difference all along the line in the good seed, and the tares - bad seed. Matt. 13:27. Jesus said, Did not an enemy sow tares in the field? And Adam was to die within the day - one day being a thousand years, the Lord's time, according to the key given to Peter. 2 Peter 3:8. Remember, for this cause the first curse was brought upon man - which was death to the body; for there was no curse on the soul until 2,513 years had passed away. Then the law came, saying, The soul that sinneth it shall die. God created the evil; as it is written in Isa. 45:7, I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things; and, Shall there be evil in a city and the Lord hath not done it? Amos 3:6. He placed it as a poison in a dark place and commanded Adam not to touch it; for within the day (1,000 years) he ate thereof he should die. Therefore we see it was disobedience that brought the appointment of death; and the first fruits of the crime (Cain) got envious of his brother Abel, because he was a better child - better favored of God, he being conceived in a better time. Leviticus 15.

It is written, God made not death, but through envy of the devil death came into the world; and he that holdeth with him shall surely find it. The evil was placed in the city (Amos 3:6) with the command not to touch it. Notice it is written, The woman thou sawest is that great city. Rev. 17- 18. Touch not, taste not, handle not; for she hath made all nations drunk with the wine of her fornication. Look not upon the wine when it is red. Prov. 23:31. Lust when it hath conceived bringeth forth sin, and when it is finished bringeth forth death; for her ways are the way to hell. Prov. 7:27. Therefore come out of her my people, and partake not of her sins, that ye receive not of her plagues. He that overcometh all evil till the evil be taken away (Rom. 11:27) shall reach forth and take of the tree of life and live for ever. Rev. 22:14; John 6:51. He that overcometh shall receive the great reprieve from the appointment of death; and your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand. Isa. 28:18. This great work is now going on; and soon all tears shall be wiped from off all faces, and there shall be no more death.

THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH

It was not to be given to the Gentiles. All the deeper parts of the Scriptures were not to be uttered to them; and therefore they were unlawful to be uttered in the outer court, which was given to the Gentiles. Rev. 11:2. They have ever been a mystery to them. Paul heard some of the words not lawful to be uttered in his day, when he was caught up to the third heaven; and John also saw and heard some things pertaining to this time, when the Gentiles' fulness should come and Israel gathered unto Shiloh; who would receive that promised Spirit of truth, which would lead and guide them in the way of all truth and show them things to come. And if they are shown things to come, what is that but the Spirit of prophecy? Is it not promised that he should pour out his Spirit on all flesh in the last days, and your sons and daughters shall prophesy? - with many other promises pertaining to the same. And they are to be led in the way of all truth. "All" means all - none excepted; and there is no greater truth than the second coming of Christ. It is referred to about 300 times in Holy Writ; and he has said he doeth nothing but he revealeth his secrets to his servants the prophets.

Now remember, all is written for us upon whom the end has come; and remember the key, No prophecy of the Scriptures is of any private interpretation. These servants are referred to in Revelation; and they do his will, and keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus. And the days of Visitation are come, and Israel shall know it. How? By that Spirit of truth (prophecy) which is the testimony of Jesus Christ. How did Noah know of the flood and of the end? It was by the Spirit of prophecy, which showed him things to come. And as it was with Noah so shall it be now with Israel, his Elect, whoever and wherever they may be; and as Noah foresaw these things and warned the people, so will Israel - and they have been, since the opening of this Visitation. But many continue these arguments and say, He is to come upon us as a thief in the night. But we would ask, To whom will he come as a thief in the night? Let us rightly divide and see what he says to his chosen: Ye brethren (like Noah) are not in darkness that that day come upon you as a thief in the night. Why? Because they will have the Spirit of truth to lead and guide them in the way of all truth and show them things to come.

A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

Much might be said upon this subject, but we must be brief. In the first place we wish to say that it is possible for men to attain unto the kingdom of heaven, and also the kingdom of God - which will be attained unto by the 144,000 sons of God. While all men will attain unto the kingdom of heaven, either at the first or final resurrection - every man in his own order - yet the 144,000 will attain unto the kingdom of heaven on earth, as Jesus did at the river Jordan, by having their bodies prepared. Then is when they will do the works that he did; and the greater work is overcoming the evil we have within ourselves, which Jesus did not have to contend with. Remember it is written, Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; though it may dwell in the kingdom of heaven - for Jesus did from the time he was clothed upon till he was crucified. The Spirit of God, which is Christ, rested upon Jesus - not in him; and he said, No man hath ascended up to heaven, save he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. Jesus was then in heaven though he was talking to the people on the earth. Heaven is the Spirit of God; and it rested upon Jesus' body - therefore he dwelt in it, and he still had flesh and blood. The virtues of heaven healed all who came unto him, and opened the eyes of the blind, and raised the dead, etc., till his blood was shed on the cross; then heaven, or the Spirit of God, was put within him - taking the place of blood. Then the kingdom was in him - which was the kingdom of God; and the fulness of the Godhead dwelt in his temple - not flesh and blood, but flesh and bone inherited the kingdom of God. So it will be with his Elect, 144,000, who shall put on immortality; while those who die and lose the temple will only receive the kingdom of heaven at the resurrection.

Therefore it is written of John the Baptist, Among those born of women there is none greater than John the Baptist; but the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. Why? Because John lost his body, and can only receive a spiritual body. There will be none greater in the kingdom of heaven; but the least one of the 144,000, who will get into the kingdom of God, will be greater than he, because they will have a body of flesh and bone made like unto the glorious body of Jesus Christ; while the others, like John, will only be made like unto the angels, etc. And so it is written, He that breaks the least command shall be guilty of the whole, and would lose his body; while there is another passage that appears to contradict the foregoing passage, if we fail to rightly divide and place it where it belongs, which says, If a man breaks the least command and teaches men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven; showing it is possible to break the least one and teach men to do so, and then get into the kingdom of heaven - but not the kingdom of God. Every jot and tittle of the commandments must be kept for the life of the body; while in the other case, if they break them, through repentance they are saved in the kingdom of heaven; while the Elect will keep the commandments so close they will have nothing to repent of - i.e., after their first repentance and confession. Then they will leave the first principles and go on to perfection; and then to them the gifts and calling of God are without repentance, for repentance is hid from his eyes. Rom. 11:29.

A Difference Between Jesus and Christ

Many good theologians have never noticed the difference between Jesus and Christ. Remember, Jesus had a beginning of days, and Christ was the High Priest after the order of Melchisedec, having neither beginning of days nor end of life. And Jesus was never called Christ till CHRIST the High Priest rested upon him at the river Jordan and showed the full power of God; and then he was called Jesus Christ because Christ took possession of Jesus. Jesus spiritually means a pure cleansed body. Jesus was the sacrifice - a lamb without blemish - and Christ (God) was the sacrificer. Sometimes Jesus spake to the people, and sometimes Christ the Spirit of God spake. Christ said, Before Abraham was, I am, He was the "I am" that appeared to Moses in the bush; and Jesus said, I and my Father are one. Christ withdrew from Jesus on the cross; and Jesus said, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Jesus could not have died if Christ had not withdrawn as it were for a moment to make the sacrifice; for Jesus had to give up his mortal life (the blood) for the immortal. The Spirit then entered into his body and raised him up; who then said, I am he that was dead and am alive, and behold I am alive for evermore.

WHY GOD CREATED THE EVIL

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. Isa. 45:7. God created the evil that man by it might learn obedience by the things he suffers; as Jesus the Firstborn Son of God had to learn obedience by the things he suffered; and he suffered from the hand of the enemy of God. When we come to survey the working of God and his mysterious dealings with the children of men, let us look at both sides and trace from cause to effect and know why God created the evil. Since we see its effects, and then look in the Word and read that God created it, then if he created it, it must have been for a wise purpose. It was that man through the fall might learn the difference between good and evil, God and Satan. Since man in spirit was deceived by Satan in heaven, when Satan rebelled against God, he being a choice cherub (spirit) called Lucifer, son of the morning, equal with Michael, the head archangel, the spirit of Jesus, who was the head counsel against Satan - for God gave Michael the power to cast out Satan and his host who rebelled against him - therefore God created the evil and placed it in the city, as it is written, Shall there be evil in the city and the Lord hath not done it? Amos 3:6. And the woman thou sawest is that great city. Rev. 17:18. He placed it in the body of the woman, called the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Good and evil, life and death, were placed before Adam; and Adam partook of the evil of the city, which has made all nations drunk with the wine of her fornication. But had he not partaken of it at first and fallen in sin, he would have remained in ignorance and innocency - not knowing from whence his happiness came, nor the difference between God and Satan; for Satan wanted to be God, and thus deceived the third part of the spirits. Therefore God in the end will prove to man that Satan is the god of the dead. After the six thousand years of suffering because of sin, when once redeemed will they not better understand and know more how to appreciate their happiness and glory - having the knowledge of both good and evil and made perfect through suffering because of the evil? Therefore man was subjected to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who subjected the same in hope - i.e., in hope of great resurrection and redemption from the effects of the fall. There is a purpose in everything God created, and everything is governed by law; and in violation of his law we suffer. And if the evil had not been created and man commanded not to touch it, how could obedience be tested and the creation proved? God demands of us obedience to his directions, that we may live, and his designs be accomplished in us. It is written that God made not death, but through envy of the devil, death came into the world. Satan envied God's power, and aspired for the throne; and man taking sides with him in envy and rebellion brings sin, and sin brings death. The evil placed in the city would not have brought death if man had been obedient and not partaken of it. The fire will not burn if you do not get into it.

After his disobedience in partaking of the evil of the tree, (Lev. 15,) God placed the flaming sword to keep him from the tree of life in his rebellion, till the Spirits of the just, who stood loyal to God in spirit, would come to earth to bodies, and keep his commandments and have the faith of Jesus, their leader; who would have a right to the tree of life. Had not God created the evil and subjected man to it, how could God have shown the power of his love in his Son, Jesus Christ, to take away the sin of the world, and redeem man from sin and death? Or had Adam not fallen, how could he have been raised from the effects of the fall, that he might be raised higher in the end? And how could Jesus Christ destroy him who had the power of death, which is the devil, had there been no devil? and be crucified that grace might abound over sin had there been no Judas or satanic man?

Light is manifested by darkness. Therefore thus saith the Lord: I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil. Isa. 45:7. There must be confusion and war before peace can be made. The Lamb of God was foreordained and slain from the foundation of the world to take away the sin of the world; therefore the evil must have been foreordained also, so that he could take away and show his power in the earth. And so it is written, For this cause I raised Pharaoh up, that I might show my power in the earth. And when Jesus opened the eyes of the blind, the question was asked, Who did sin, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Notice the answer of Jesus: Neither did this man sin nor his parents (that caused it); but that the power of God might be manifest in him. The power of God could not be shown to open the eyes of the blind, if there was no one blind. And did not that man appreciate the great power and love of God more than he ever could, had he not suffered such afflictions? Therefore the evil was created and man subjected to the fall, with all its misery and woe, sickness and death, that we might appreciate the healing power of God from sickness and the power of his resurrection from death. Therefore he said, They that are whole need no physician, but the sick; those who suffer from the fall - which excuses none. All have, and will feel, the need of a Saviour. How could God show his power to raise the dead, had there been none dead? or to heal the sick if there was no sick? Man in his unequal way would have effect without a cause - light without darkness - day without night - summer without winter - clouds without water - trees without roots - salt without savor - male without female - joy without sorrow - sunshine without lightning, thunder and rain, and so on. They treat effect without a cause, and stagger from one extreme to another. Satan thought evil against man, but God meant it for good; and in the end would bring good out of it. Therefore he has said, All things work together for good to them that love him and are so called according to his purpose. Satan thought evil against Jesus, and satanic man crucified him; but God meant it for good, and by it will save many people alive from the power of sin and death. Job said, Shall we receive good at the hands of God and shall we not receive evil? He learned the deep secret that "Anger means love in thy Word." Ministers of the Gospel would choose any other subject for their text rather than the origin of evil. They give them flowery sermons that float over the people's heads, or else threaten them with an eternal perdition in a burning hell. They fail to tell that the evil was created by God himself, and for a wise purpose; which will terminate in man's greater happiness and to the honor and glory of God because grace will abound over evil. They claim this would be a dangerous doctrine to preach, and that we must not pry into deep things of the Scriptures; and sometimes say, They are not to be understood; that it is enough to know evil exists, and that there is a burning lake or literal hell-fire waiting the unfortunate creatures who were made subject to vanity against their will. And because of such hell-fire doctrine, we have yet in this so-called enlightened age, thousands of hell-scared christians, kept in ignorance of God's abounding love; and then when the question is asked one of these false guides if they believe in such a doctrine, their answer is, "Do you think I am a fool? but we must keep our people in bounds." They say it would not do to tell the people he is a universal Saviour - as if it would not do to serve him through love. And so they place their own wisdom before their congregation, and the pure Word of God is trampled under foot while they float orations of a flowery make-up of their own wisdom - the whole flowing into the vaults beneath their feet. They, in their self-wisdom, would wipe out the word "evil" at first from the map of creation altogether, as if God had made a mistake in creating it. Like many other passages of Scripture, they want to throw it out altogether. In their estimation the tree of knowledge of good and evil should have been a tree bearing fruit without seed - all kernel and no husk. They would not have had man travel from Jerusalem to Jericho, or down in the valley of the fall, so that he could be raised higher with knowledge. They would have had him travel up from Jericho to Jerusalem by a direct route. They never would have had him fall among thieves. They would have had no thieves - consequently he could not have been stripped, wounded, and left half dead by the wayside. No good Samaritan could have had compassion on him-no binding up of wounds -no pouring in of oil or wine - no setting him on his own beast - no inn - no two-pence - no host. Christ would not have come to seek and save the lost - no rejoicing among the angels for the lost piece found - no thirsty souls to invite and partake of the waters of life - no burdened and heavily-ladened souls invited to come and receive and find rest to their troubled souls - no debtor, and so no creditor to forgive man because he had nothing to pay - no grace to abound over sin - no Lamb slain from the foundation of the world - no fatted calf to be killed. In their wisdom they would have abolished evil and would have had him partake of the tree of life at once without touching, handling and tasting the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that there might not be any sentence of death, and consequently no glorious resurrection - no Jews called, and consequently noGentiles adopted- no house of Israel, hence no Bridegroom and Bride - no 144,000 raised from the valley of the fall - no Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband, and no wedding feast. If there had been no transgression, no sin, no evil, how could the Lord have given his Firstborn, and the fruit of his body (Jesus' blood) for the sin of his soul (Adam and Eve)? Micah 6-7. Would the Lord have been pleased with thousands of rams, or ten thousand rivers of oil, or ten thousand temples of stone? No, no! Hark ye! God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son a sacrifice for the sin of the world. All were dead that he might die for all; that God, in Christ, might reconcile the world unto himself. Ten thousand Samsons with legions of celestial spirits from the heavenly courts could never have lifted the ponderous weight of sin from the human race as was lifted by the love of God by giving the blood of his beloved Son on Mount Calvary, that grace might abound over sin. The evil was created and man subjected to it to prove him - to prove what manner of spirit he is of.

Remember, the promise of eternal life (i.e., of spirit, soul and body) is to the overcomer of all evil, the world, the devil and the flesh; then how could this be if there was no devil, or evil in the flesh? Where then would the promise be? And to this end it was created to prove man by - to prove who would overcome it for immortality - to prove who stood with Michael in heaven when satan rebelled; for those who stood with Michael then in spirit, will stand with Jesus now in the flesh, and do the will of God, and overcome all evil. The sweetest honey is extracted from the bitterest flower, and the rose springs from the prickly thorn. The promise is to him that overcometh, as it is written, To him that overcometh shall I grant to sit down with me in my throne, as I have overcome and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Man for six thousand years has partaken of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and has received the knowledge of sin and its results; and has found out that to serve Satan is sorrow, lamentation, mourning and woe, sickness and death. Now the Spirits of the just are here; and after tasting of the evil and having suffered of its consequences, are now willing to do the will of God and profit by the ensamples of the past, which are for us on whom the end has come. They are willing now to overcome the world, the devil and the flesh, that they might have a right to the tree of life. Lust when conceived brings forth sin, and sin when finished brings forth death. But Israel, the 144,000, will overcome it by the power of God, and sing that triumphant song of victory over sin, death, hell and the grave; and will be able to say, O death, where is thy sting? for it will never sting them; and, O grave, where is thy victory? for it will never get them for a victim; and they shall ever know that Satan was but a god of the dead, and he liveth not.

Man was subjected to vanity, and was lost that he might be found, and was dead in sin that he might hear the word. "Live!" Israel was brought out of Egypt, and light out of darkness; and Christ, the Latter Adam, the Lord from heaven, will make good and restore all that was made bad and lost by the first Adam. Christ will bring to man much more than Adam ever had; and in the end the morning stars will sing together, and the sons of God shout for joy, and sing the Redeemer's praise with a more grateful heart than ever before; and all the world will join in the chorus with praises to God.

WHERE IS HELL?

It is claimed to be in some unknown region, where Satan holds the damned in eternal torture - which is not according to the Word of God. It does not teach eternal torment. It is written, Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not go unpunished - but not eternally, for love is God's darling attribute; and it says, Go learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy and not sacrifice. Matt. 9:13. His creatures were brought into the world and subjected to vanity against their will; for he says, All souls are mine; and I have devised means whereby my banished be not expelled from me for ever. 2 Sam. 14:14. For he is the Saviour of all men, especially of them that believe; (1Tim. 4:10;) and I, if I be lifted up, will draw all men unto me. In Adam (i.e., in transgression) all die; but in Christ shall all be made alive, but every man in his own order.

Many learned theologians say, "God is love," and in the next breath contradict it by saying, At death, man is sent straight to heaven, or to this unknown region to burn with hell-fire and brimstone without way of escape, and will never be released in time nor in eternity; and with the next point of argument they say, At the great day of judgment all are to come forth to be judged according to the deeds done in the body. We would ask, What is the purpose of this judgment? Is it to ascertain whether they are guilty or not? or to see if his first judgment was right in sending them there; and then have them brought out to judgment after they have suffered, some of them for thousands of years? And besides this absurdity they contradict their own statement by saying they are brought out at some future time to be released. There is a resurrection of just and unjust; but we ask, From what are they resurrected? From the burning region? They claim soul and spirit are one, and at death the wicked are sent to this burning hell-fire; then of course this must be the place they are resurrected from, according to this. Can you believe it? Their tales do not hang together. And again we would ask, Would you treat a child like that? You say, No! Then you dare not say God would, for that would make yourself out to be more merciful than God. With whom is mercy found - God or man? He teaches us to forgive until seventy times seven. Would he teach you to do a thing he would not do?

Go and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy and not sacrifice; although it is said in one place, These go away into everlasting punishment - but not eternal. Everlasting and eternal are not the same thing, as you may think. Eternal has no end, but for ever and everlasting have an end. Let us prove it by the Word of God. It says, If a Hebrew servant be sold, that on the seventh year he should go free; but if he has a wife and children, and love his master, then he should take him to a door-post and bore his ear, etc., and he should serve him for ever; but he does not serve him today, for the servant and master are both in the grave. The small and great are there, and the servant is free from his master. Job 3:19. And circumcision was to be an everlasting covenant - which came to an end with the ten tribes; and in the New Testament he saith, I will make a new covenant with them, when I shall take away their sins. Rom. 11:27. And again it shows in Exodus 40:15, that the priesthood was given to the sons of Aaron of the tribe of Levi, and it should be to them an everlasting priesthood. This everlasting priesthood ended, and it has been given to another; for our Lord sprang from Judah, of which tribe Moses said nothing concerning priesthood. Heb. 7:12, 14. Here we see an "everlasting" that came to an end. Lev. 16:34. The children of Israel made sacrifice for sins, which should be an everlasting statute - which ended by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Jonah was in the whale's belly; and it is said, The earth with her bars was about him for ever; (Jonah 2:6) - and he was there only three days and nights. Therefore we see that "everlasting" and "for ever" are set times with God, which have an end. But the word "eternal" has no end; and we do not read of eternal punishment.

Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap - if to the flesh, he shall of the flesh reap corruption in the chambers of the grave (hell); turned over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, and there it is decomposed - consumed by a fire not blown. Job 20:26 and 24:19.

Hell has been upon this planet since the fall of Adam. Satan was cast to this earth and caused all this suffering and woe; who goeth up and down seeking whom he may devour; and after destroying their bodies, he holds their souls as prisoners in the pit (Isa. 24:22) till the great resurrection, when Christ shall come - the resurrection and the life - and bring forth the souls of the righteous and the wicked to give an account of the deeds done in the body; and the righteous receive their rewards, every man according to his works. And, Blessed and Holy are they who have part in the first resurrection, for on such the second death hath no power. But it has power on the wicked - and they live not again till a thousand years are expired, and their punishment finished; and by the mercies of God they are resurrected in what is called the last or final resurrection, and return to their former estate; as it is written, When Sodom and her daughters return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate. Does this look like a confinement in that lake throughout eternity, where Satan watches the damned to see that none escape? No! We see the effects of his work upon the earth among men, as a roaring lion, with a sweeping destruction before him - and not far off in some unknown region as taught by many. According to the Scriptures, the grave is the final hell; and the Word tells us that Jesus was in hell. See Psa. 16:10 and Acts 2:27, 31. It says, Thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, nor suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. David, foreseeing this, spake of the resurrection of Christ; and while his body lay in hell (the grave) he went in spirit and preached to the spirits in prison, who were once disobedient while the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah. What do you suppose he was preaching to them? They had died in wickedness; and if they were consigned to the lake of a burning hell and eternally damned, why should he go and preach to them? Just to add to their misery? No. There is no doubt that he was telling them of the atonement that he had just made for all men - giving them a hope in the resurrection; for it is written that they should be judged in spirit according to men in the flesh, etc. 1 Peter 4-6.

God has said, All souls are mine; (Ezek. 18:4;) and he came to reconcile the world unto himself, and that all through him might be saved - but every man in his own order. And if one soul be eternally lost, Christ's mission would be in vain; for he tasted death for every man, (Heb. 2:9,) and would have all men saved; who gave himself a ransom for all to be testified in due time. 1 Tim. 2-4, 6. He led captivity captive and received gifts for men - yea for the rebellious also. Psa. 68:18. What gifts do you suppose he gives to the rebellious? Eternal torment? Nay, verily; but it is the gift of eternal life to every man according to his works. He has different glories for man: There is one glory of the sun, another of the moon, and another of the stars; and as one star differs from another star in glory, so also is the resurrection of the dead. The glory of the sun is the redeemed, spirit, soul and body - an hundred-fold; and the glory of the moon are those of the first resurrection - sixtyfold; and the glory of the stars are those of the final resurrection, who return to their former estate - as their glory was that of the stars before they fell from heaven with Satan. And so it is written, None of them were lost but the son of perdition - that the Scriptures might be fulfilled, for it teaches a universal salvation. And in Revelation Satan is shown to be the son of perdition. After he is loosed a little season, at the end of the Millennium Sabbath, he raiseth up to make war again, and then goeth into perdition - the son of perdition; (Rev. 17:8;) who was once called Lucifer, son of the morning. Ezek. 28:15 and Isa. 14:12.

All that are incensed against the Son shall be ashamed; (Isa. 45:24;) - even those who crucified him. And did not he ask his Father to forgive them, that they know not what they do? And God will do so, for he delighteth in mercy. And when the disciple was stoned, he asked God not to lay this sin to their charge. And why? Because they were deceived and were actuated by the spirit of Satan; and on him it shall fall in the end. He (the angel) laid hold on that old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, that he deceive the nations no more till a thousand years are finished. Lucifer shall be stripped of all satanic powers, and men shall narrowly look upon him and say, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, and did shake kingdoms? Isa. 14-16. He shall be left alone, and there is not a second; he hath neither child nor brother. Eccl. 4:8. Satan is the destroying power; and in the end he shall be destroyed, for Christ came to destroy him who had the power of death, and that is the devil. Heb. 2:14 and 1 John 3:8. And when this is accomplished, all souls shall be ransomed from the pit or prison; (Zech. 9:12; Psa. 142:7; Isa. 61:1 and 24-22;) as it is written, They shall be shut up in prison, and after many days they shall be visited - i.e., in the time of the resurrection, for there shall be a resurrection of the souls of both the righteous and the wicked. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth (in the grave), and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. Rev. 5:13. Hell beneath is moved and cometh up to meet thee at thy coming; (Isa. 14:9;) which is a resurrection - not from the lake of fire, but from the grave.

The term "hell" in the Bible chiefly means the grave. The only word translated "hell" in the Old Testament is the Hebrew word "sheol." It is there mentioned sixty-five times. In thirty-three instances it is rendered "hell," in twenty-nine places "grave," and three cases, "pit." There are two words in the New Testament translated hell, viz., "hades" and "gehenna." If it can be proven that the Hebrew word "sheol" means the grave, it follows that the Greek word "hades" means the same; for in the Greek translation of the Old Testament made at Alexandria, about 270 B. C., the word "sheol" is rendered "hades" sixty times out of sixty-five. "Hades" is translated "hell" ten times in the New Testament, and "gehenna" is rendered twelve times. In most places in Holy Writ "hell" means the grave, and not an unknown region of eternal punishment; and besides we have proof in the Word of God that hell is to be destroyed; (Hosea 13-14;) and the Revelator says, The sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them.

The doctrine of eternal torment had its origin with man in the dark ages; and it has clung to the skirts of Christendom, and is still taught by the blind - who lead the blind, and all fall into the ditch (the grave) and claim it is the gates to heaven. Death is the gates to hell - but it shall not prevail against the Church of God. Many grand points could be brought forth upon this subject, and many parables when understood go to prove the same. The two classes under consideration - the righteous and the wicked of the two resurrections - are beautifully shown in the parable of the two debtors. The one owed five hundred pence and the other fifty; and when they had nothing to pay, he (God) frankly forgave them - the lesser debtor at the first resurrection, and the greater at the final end.

The strong points for the advocators of hell fire, are in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus; notwithstanding, it proves to the contrary. The rich man represented the Jews, who were once in great favor with God, as a nation, and held the Oracles of God; and the poor man at that time represented the Gentiles, who were without God or hope in the world, and desired, as it were, the crumbs that fell from their table; and the dogs licked their sores that they received at the fall. They had no one to pour in the oil and the wine until the Good Samaritan came. The Jews rejected him when he came; therefore they were cut off and spiritually died, and lifted up their eyes in hell - or in other words, they soon saw they were cut off from divine favor, and saw the poor Gentiles who laid at their gates were grafted in, as shown in Romans11, and came in divine favor and were taken into Abraham's (God's) bosom. Not a literal man! How could that be? Neither was the rich man in a literal lake of fire, though his tongue was parched with the flames; but it was a burning remorse of conscience for what they had done. And they are still lifting up their eyes in hell. Look at the Russian Jews today, who are still suffering the displeasure of God! See their oppression and great affliction in servitude to their enemies, who exercise lordship over them.

Lazarus, in a deeper sense, was the dispersed of Israel scattered among the Gentiles; who died, and their seed was carried down, and are now to be gathered into Abraham's bosom - i.e., their descendants, or seed that was to come, to whom the promise was made. Gal. 3:19. So the five were typical of the ten tribes, who are now to be gathered from among the Gentiles - of whom the poor man was typical, as all is written for the end; they being the five wise virgins, or the five brethren to the two tribes who come from the Jews; which makes up the twelve tribes - twelve thousand of each; making up 144,000 of the sealed carried down and gathered from among all nations into Abraham's bosom - into immortality; who will not do as the rich man did, for they will keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus Christ.

They had Moses and the prophets; and the answer was, If ye believe not them, ye would not believe one though he arose from the dead. And did not Jesus say to them, If you believe not Moses, you believe not me, for he wrote of me? And did not Jesus arise from the dead and appear unto many, and still they believed him not? They rejected him with his glorious Gospel. And the great gulf between them is very plain to be seen to this day; for the Jews could not come to the Gentiles without accepting Jesus Christ and the glorious Gospel, which they cannot do; and the Gentiles cannot go the Jews without rejecting Jesus Christ with the Gospel and accepting the law; but this they cannot do. Therefore there is a wide gulf between them both. But Israel will take both Law and Gospel - Beauty and Bands - and cross the great gulf into immortality, where neither Jew nor Gentile can come. They can, however, get the soul salvation - made like unto the angels.

One more point I wish to bring forward, and that is the sin against the Holy Ghost, as so many apply that to the soul in claiming that it is eternally lost; as they apply most of the Scriptures to the soul, and therefore run from one extreme to another, making contradictions as they go. This passage, like most of the Scriptures, applies to the body, and not to the soul. Remember the Scriptures show that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost; and it furthermore says, He that defileth the temple (body), him will God destroy; and it shall be eternally lost - not given back in time nor eternity. And after he receives this great light, and wilfully sins against the Holy Ghost - i.e., if they sin against light and knowledge after tasting of the good Word of God and the power of the world to come, (the world to come being the Millennium,) and still sin against the light of life till they lose their body, it is wilful sin against the Holy Ghost; for your temple was destined to be the temple of the Holy Ghost, and you would not be forgiven in this world nor the world to come - i.e., till the Millennial age be over. Then the final resurrection takes place, and you would come forth and return to your former estate; the woe falling on Satan, the deceiver.

After all the deceived are ransomed from his hand and the work of Jesus Christ completed and the kingdom turned over to God the Father, God will be all in all, and Satan is nothing. Remember the key to the Scriptures, that, No prophecy is of any private interpretation; therefore hell is not altogether confined to the grave. Wherever Satan reigns There is hell, and his reign on earth for 6,000 years has made it a hell, with all its misery and woe, death and destruction; and for this cause Jesus died to take away the sins of the world, and destroy him who had the power of death, which is the devil, and thus put an end to hell.

PARABLE OF THE GOOD SAMARITAN

It sets forth a man traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho, who fell among thieves, and they stripped him of his raiment and left him half dead by the roadside, etc. The cities of Jerusalem and Jericho were used as figures - Jerusalem, a figure of the New Jerusalem, which John saw coming down from God out of heaven; and Jericho was typical of this planet in its fallen state; and the man that traveled down from Jerusalem was Adam, who left his Paradise state in Jerusalem, and in his transgression fell among thieves and robbers, which were Satan and his angels, who stripped him of his immortal raiment and left him half dead by the roadside in the fall. And the priest that came down that way was Enoch, who looked down upon man's fallen condition, but could not deliver him, and so passed by on the other side of the grave without going through it, for he was translated. The Levite, Elijah, also came down into the valley of the fall to Jericho, looked upon the condition of the fallen man by the roadside, suffering from the effects of the fall, but could not raise him, but kept the commandments himself; and so he, like Enoch, passed by on the other side of the grave without going through it. And so later on the Good Samaritan came down that way - who was Jesus. He picks man up from the fall. and dresses his wounds that he had received from the fall, and pours in the oil and wine (the spirit), and sets him on his own beast (his body) and takes him to the inn, and pays the two-pence (Law and Gospel) for the man's full redemption - raised from the valley of the fall. Therefore he proves to be man's neighbor, friend and Saviour, and Redeemer of Israel, who will cleanse our blood and wash it away, and pour in the oil and wine. Ezek. 16:9; Joel 3:21.

He shall raise us up and we shall live in his sight, and receive the glorious reprieves from the appointment of death; as it is written, Your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand. Isa. 28:18. For the Lord hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, and to loose those who were appointed unto death. Psa. 102:19, 20.

THE LAW OF CHRIST

We Israelites do not underrate the glorious atonement of Jesus Christ, for we know that the atonement saves the soul; and we furthermore know that to keep his holy laws and commandments and all the sayings of Jesus Christ will save our body from death, as well as the soul. We are not under the law now. We would ask, Who is under the law, the man that keeps it, or the man that breaks it? The law was added because of transgression, and is for transgressors; then the man that transgresses the law is the man under the law; and the man that keeps it in obedience is the free man of the city. If you break the law of your country are you not arrested and cast into prison under the law? But if you keep it, are you not free?

The great mystery of the Scriptures has been under seal till the time of the end. Daniel 12:4. Paul, when caught up to the third heaven, heard words not lawful to be uttered - that is, in that day, for they only saw as through a glass darkly; but the time was to come when a more perfect light was to be shown; for the vision was for an appointed time, and at the end it shall speak and not lie. Hab. 2:2, 3. Even the mystery of the seven thunders heard by John, he was not to write - that is, till the time of the end; which time we are now in. This Visitation of the Spirit of truth, which was to come, is given by the seven angels which were to sound in order. Therefore God's last message to man consists of seven parts of the great volume of truth, unfurled to the Israel of God during the time of the latter Visitation by the seven angels sent to the messengers. And when the Seventh begins to sound the mystery shall be finished, as declared to his servants the prophets.

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto Him shall the gathering of the people be. Gen. 49:10. In the days of the voice of the Seventh Angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery shall be finished. Revelation 10:7.

When, how and where will Israel be Gathered?
    What is the New Birth?
How can a man be Born Again?
How can we obtain Exemption from Death?
Will unbelievers suffer Eternal Torment in Hell?
What is the destiny of Spirit, Soul and Body?
Do the Scriptures teach Universal Salvation?
Which will rise in resurrection - Body or Soul?
What is the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil?
Who created the Evil? Why was it Created?
    Will there be an Elect?
If so, how may they be known?
What is the Faith once Delivered to the Saints?
Why did God harden Pharaoh's heart?
Did Adam Fall by Eating an Apple?

These and many more vexing questions are fully answered in our preparatory message. "THE BOOKS OF WISDOM, THE FLYING ROLL," which should be read by every lover of truth.
